Dragon’s Dogma Sequel Announced
Posted on June 25, 2012 AT 03:24pm
After shipping 1 million units , Capcom believes Dragon’s Dogma is the start of a franchise

By now many of you have probably played Dragon’s Dogma, Capcom’s recent open-world action-RPG. Despite gripes about the lack of quick travel and some AI irritation (which includes the excessive use of the word ‘aught’), the game has been well-received by many RPG fans for things like its open-world experience, its pawn system and its combat.
The game performed particularly well in Japan, where it became the fastest-selling game of this generation after 302,040 units were sold on PS3 in its first week. As of now, the 1 million units that have been shipped are somewhat short of the multi-million sales figures Capcom predicted, but the company is still confident it has a franchise on its hands.
