A play-by-play of the EA Briefing at E3 2012.
- DeadSpace 3 preview and gameplay Trailers, including co-op. Releasing in February 2013.
- Madden NFL 13 will deliver physics you can feel due to the all-new infinity engine, which figures out collisions based on player’s height, weight, direction of travel and momentum. No two plays look exactly the same.
- Michael Irwin comes to the stage to explain how to become a great at Madden 13. Players can be football players or coaches. Achievements upgrade your “Legacy Score” to improve your performance on the field.
- Players can launch leagues of up to 32 people and there’s even a virtual Twitter Feed. Manage your league from phones, tablets, PCs, or your console.
- Maxis is up. SimCity Social on its way to Facebook in a few weeks. More City, less Ville.
- All new SimCity coming to the PC and it’s the first time multiplayer is introduced. Changes made in your city will affect Sims in other cities. Glassbox Simulation Engine at the core of this new game. Text “SimCity” to 4414 to name SimCity’s newest burger joint! Coming February 2013.
- Battlefield 3 Premium! Gives players new items, weapons, maps and all the DLC. Close Quarters in June, Armored Kill in Sept, Aftermath in Dec, End Game in March 2013. DLC packs come free with BF Premium, which is $49.99.
- Each DLC pack has a distinct name and Premium members get access two weeks before everyone else. Reminds me a lot of ELITE.
- BioWare and Star Wars: The Old Republic – more PVP warzones, new playable species (Cathar) and companions, increased level caps, a new planet (surrounding the story of the Hutt cartel), and more. Play up to level 15 for free coming in July.
- Medal of Honor: Warfighter – every single mission has a dotted line to a real world event or battle. Glad to finally see some realism in a game. Multiplayer for MoH is introducing Global Warfighters – 12 different Tier 1 units from 10 different nations.
- Connect every game you play across every game you play it on. Madden NFL Social launches this fall. Start playing on FB and finish on your phone. NBA Live, the game, will change all season long, as will the roster selections in NCAA football.
- FIFA 13 – 11 million people in the FIFA football club. Players who own FIFA 12 can carry level and stats over to FIFA 13. FIFA iOS and Android apps will also connect to FIFA 13. Also, there’s a new currency system to buy new items.
- UFC multi-year multi-product contract between EA and UFC. Presented by president of the UFC – Dana White. 175 countries and 22 languages to get the game.
- Need For Speed: Most Wanted from Criterion Games. An open world driving game where players compete to become the “Most Wanted” by earning speed points to put you at the top of the Most Wanted list. Launching October 30th.
- Crytek takes the stage with Crysis 3. Has 7 environments. Trailer shows some beautiful graphics. Due out in February 2013.
