This year, Nintendo is re-writing the rules to a certain extent when it comes to E3. Previously noted that they would not be holding a traditional press event but instead holding a Software Showcase; today during a Nintendo Direct event, Nintendo announced that they would be bringing unreleased E3 titles to Best Buy stores across the US & Canada. According to an article by Polygon, the titles will be available at more than 100 Best Buy locations during the second week of June from the 11th to the 13th – E3 week.
“This year, we’re making E3 for the people, and we want to make sure you get the chance to try our games as well,” said Reggie Fils-Aime.
The titles available for the public will be announced by Nintendo soon at a later date.
