E3 Preview: Metro: Last Light
Posted on June 7, 2012 AT 08:25pm
While not playable at this year’s E3, the folks over at THQ haven’t been messing around when it comes to the latest installment of the Metro series, Metro: Last Light. The game, which takes place after an apocalyptic event, is survival horror at its best, with a bit of the supernatural thrown in.
The game showed off some great things during the demonstration, including the system with the gasmasks players must wear to survive (they have to change the filters by getting more in the wastes, or suffocate), the dynamic weather system, as well as enemies like giant wolf-like creatures, demons, and even memories of the past.
The game is dark, gritty and intense, with gorgeous graphics and an eerie atmosphere that horror fans will love. Mix that in with the unique spin put on the game, as it’s set in and developed by those from Eastern Europe, and this game is sure to give players nightmares, in the best way possible.
Look out for Metro: Last Light when it hits stores early next year for Xbox 360, PC, and Playstation 3.
