EA Taking Select Titles Offline in January

By
Posted on January 1, 2013 AT 08:08pm

It happens in the lifecycle of all EA games eventually, and that is the time when EA decides to take certain of their older titles offline, making their online features null and void due to a lack of players or the game just being a bit older. I’m not sure that I’ve recovered from when EA took EA MMA offline last year or that I’ll ever forgive them for such an awful offense. With that being said, there is a new list of games being taken offline by EA and we are here to inform you of which games will lose their ability to be played online.

The first game to go offline will be FIFA Manager 11 on January 3rd for the PC, but most of the action goes down on January 11th when quite a few games will go dark. The 11th includes: FIFA Soccer 11, FIFA Soccer 11’s Ultimate Team, Madden 11 and Madden 11’s Ultimate Team, NBA Jam, NBA Live 10, NCAA 11, NHL 11 and NHL 11 Ultimate Team. Then on January 14th The Sims 2 will go dark as well Trenches 2 for iOS.

So if you play any of these games still or have fond memories of the online features, get them in while you can.
