Ultima is back yet again, and this time Lord British is charging adventurers absolutely nothing to come slay monsters in Britannia. That’s right – Ultima is going free-to-play and he’s bringing all of the Ultima you can handle to the Ipad and PC – with cross platform play. Awesome.

If you’re unfamiliar, Ultima has it’s RPG roots deep in gaming mythology, starting with the first Ultima in 1981. With countless spawned sequels throughout the years (8 sequels to be exact), Ultima Forever: Quest for the Avatar is the first true follow up to the seminal Ultima Online. I played this obsessively as a much younger DigitalNoob.
