Epic Games Establishes New Studio in Seattle
Posted on September 7, 2012 AT 02:45am

The Unreal Engine is the gold standard when it comes to game engines used for commercial games and just about anything 3D-related over the past 15+ years. The engine was originally best known for the FPS title, Unreal, followed by the immensely popular Unreal Tournament games. From there the engine seemed to be just about everywhere. Part of what made it so successful were the ease-of-use of the tools and how easily it is to adapt the Unreal Engine to any sort of game or project you wish to create.
Development is underway on the Unreal Engine 4, which will without a doubt continue its dominance in the gaming world in the next generation. Epic games announced on Thursday that they would be opening up a brand new strategy in Seattle, Washington. The new Seattle office is going to be focused, at the moment, on development of the Unreal Engine 4, and as of right now, they are looking to add new staff to the team to help out.
So if you are a talented programmer in the Seattle area looking to help make history, check out Epic’s job openings and get to it; http://epicgames.com/careers/seattle.
