Well, if you are feeling the effects of withdrawal from a lack of psychedelic-first-person-shooter-tiger-killing-games of late, fear not! Ubisoft has just announced the release date of Far Cry 3 and it looks like we will be getting our much needed dosage of trippy shooting before Christmas.

For those who haven’t gotten to see the first video of Far Cry 3 at this year’s E3, here’s a quick breakdown. This time players get to step into the shoes of Jason Brody as he hunts down the man who pissed him off across a series of savage islands. Players will get to dictate how the story unfolds, from the battles they choose to fight to the allies or enemies they make along the way. As Jason Brody, players will slash, sneak, detonate and shoot their way across the island in a world that has lost all sense of right and wrong.

“We’re taking more time to create the best possible gameplay experience”, said Dan Hay, producer at Ubisoft. “Far Cry 3 is a huge offering and we want every element of this insane, action-packed adventure to be of the highest possible quality for the players”.

Far Cry 3 will be out on November 29^th in Europe and December 4^th in the U.S.
