Sure, you might be sitting around, cursing at your television while playing Madden 13, and while you’ll know that you aren’t alone, you should know that the NFL isn’t the only kind of football that the world seems to be in love with. Americans call it soccer, just like they use an entirely different system of measurement and refuse to adapt the metric system, but Football is a huge global phenomenon. If you need proof of this than look no further than the FIFA ‘13 demo, which in just three days has seen a whopping two million downloads and counting.
EA says this is a 29% increase from last year, and the numbers from two weeks before launch shows that over 875,000 gamers have pre-ordered FIFA ‘13. That’s a 37% increase in Europe and, get this, a 62% increase in North America. Who says us yanks don’t get football?
