Free-to-play coming to Xbox? Not sure how Signal Studios got Microsoft to agree to that but it is true. Ascend: New Gods is going to be one of the first F2P games available on Xbox Live. This action/RPG will also be able to utilize the SmartGlass.
The game promises to be truly free-to-play if you really want to go that route. The in-game currency are “souls” and you will be able to use collected souls to purchase items/upgrades from within the game. However, if you are an impatient gamer, you will be able to purchase these same items with Microsoft points if you desire. Of course, it stops being free-to-play at that point but whether you pay or not, it’s up to you.
Look for Ascend: New Gods to come to Xbox Live in early 2013.
