NOTE FROM THE WRITER: Thanks to everyone that found me at QuakeCON this year. It was a blast! Thankfully I didn’t go broke buying people beer, and thank you for Bawls!
One thing a lot of the adults have learned is that when you grew up, your Mountain Dew’s and Bawls Energy Drinks have turned into beer and Jack & Coke’s. A lot of us still play the party games, but things have progressed from the days of Mario Kart on the Super Nintendo. Welcome to the world of Gaming Under the Influence, where we introduce you to some craft beers, interesting drink concoctions, and video games that you can turn into drinking games.
Each week we will concentrate on a system and rotate it every week between all consoles and of course PC games. This week we are changing it up, and doing a LAN Specific PC Drinking game. It’s a little more complicated, but well worth it. We do suggest hosting mini lans at your house, or trying to do this at a bigger LAN. We actually played this at QuakeCON this year, so if you joined us, thank you!
Week #6 Game- Team Fortress 2
This can be played by any number of players, but don’t drink alone… it’s sad!
- Rule #1- Whenever you start the game and choose a character type, you take a drink. For the rest of the night every time you switch characters, you must take a drink.
- Rule #2- Any time you are dominated, you must take a drink. Every time you are killed by someone who is dominating you, take a drink.
- Rule #3- If you are headshot by a spy or a sniper, take a drink
- Rule #4- The losing team must take the loser shot.
Week #6 Concoction- Jarate
Thank you to The Drunken Moogle for this amazing concoction. Ingredients are 2 Koolaid Lemonade Packets (will make 1 gallon of Koolaid), 2 cups of Vodka, 1 cup of triple sec, and a can of twisted tea. Mix all ingredients together and pour into mason jars. Gross out friends, but it’s delicious!
Week #6 Loser Shot- Red vs. Blue
One ounce of Hot Damn 100, One ounce of Hypnotic. No Mixer. Hopefully you can stomach this one, or just don’t lose !
Week #6 Beer- Fort Street Brewery ~ Corktown Red
It’s hard to pick a ‘bad brewery’ out of Michigan, and this one is one you can’t either. Hidden in the city of Lincoln Park, MI, this sits on the road it’s named after, Fort Street. Corktown Red is there top rated beer through beer advocate, and is named after the Corktown Historic Destrict, which along with housing old Tiger Stadium, is on the National Register of Historic Places, and where Fort Street begins in Detroit. A dark mahogany, you’re not taken over with hops and get a more malty and nut taste to it. Probably one of the top 3 reds to come out of Michigan, this one is a must if you’re on a brewery tour!
That will do it for this week do it today. We want you to drink responsibly and always have a place to crash or a designated driver if you intend on drinking too much.
