NOTE FROM THE WRITER: We are going to work on doing this weekly series adding a once a month video. If you have any suggestions for games you want to see, e-mail the writer at Ken@DigitalNoob.com
One thing a lot of the adults have learned is that when you grew up, your Mountain Dew’s and Bawls Energy Drinks have turned into beer and Jack & Coke’s. A lot of us still play the party games, but things have progressed from the days of Mario Kart on the Super Nintendo. Welcome to the world of Gaming Under the Influence, where we introduce you to some craft beers, interesting drink concoctions, and video games that you can turn into drinking games.
The last Thursday of every month we will begin MOVIE SPECIAL! While there are plenty of games to drink to, you shouldn’t just be playing video games. Time to watch a movie classic, or a comedy favorite, and enjoy.
This week we are celebrating ‘Labor Day’ by watching a comedic classic. Office Space, written by Mike Judge (Beavis and Butthead) and starring Ron Livingston, Jennifer Aniston, and Stephen Root (Milton), it follows Ron Livingston’s character, Peter Gibbons, a disgruntled employee who begins to plot a way to steal money from his company, while his friends Michael and Samir are being laid off.
Week #9 MOVIE-Office Space (PC Load Letter… What the fuck does that mean?)
1 Drink- Every time someone has a feeling Anne is cheating on Peter, someone says ‘Initech’, when Lundberg talks.
2 Drinks- Any reference to Michael Bolton the singer, or a TPS Report
3 Drinks- Any time Milton mentions a stapler
FINISH YOUR BEER- Every time someone references ‘jump to conclusions’
Week #9 Concoction- The O Face
Adding Lemon-Lime to as the mixer to a shot of Bacardi O will really bring out the O face in all of us. Preferably Sprite Remix, but you can use any lemon-lime soda (Sierra Mist), pour it into a highball glass, pour two shots of Bacardi O, mix, and maybe add a Orange slice for more flavor.
Week #9 Beer- Dos Equis ~ Cuauhtémoc-Moctezuma Brewery
I know I know, a beer that everyone knows, and mostly attributes to the Most Interesting Man Alive, but I had to go with this beer because obviously it was part of the movie. (At least unless this picture isn’t photoshopped, those kiddos are getting pretty good at this) But who cares right? We’re all here to have fun, drink, and enjoy the friendships we’ve made by playing video games. So relax, drink this delicious lager, and remember, Dos Equis is Spanish for “Two X’s”
That will do it for this week do it today. We want you to drink responsibly and always have a place to crash or a designated driver if you intend on drinking too much.
