Gaming Under the Influence ~ Street Fighter (Series)

Posted on September 6, 2012 AT 08:00am

NOTE FROM THE WRITER: We are going to work on doing this weekly series adding a once a month video. If you have any suggestions for games you want to see, e-mail the writer at Ken@DigitalNoob.com

One thing a lot of the adults have learned is that when you grew up, your Mountain Dew’s and Bawls Energy Drinks have turned into beer and Jack & Coke’s. A lot of us still play the party games, but things have progressed from the days of Mario Kart on the Super Nintendo. Welcome to the world of Gaming Under the Influence, where we introduce you to some craft beers, interesting drink concoctions, and video games that you can turn into drinking games.

Each week we will concentrate on a system and rotate it every week between all consoles and of course PC games. This week we are introducing another major arcade game that is played on consoles, which is probably one of the biggest 2D fighter games, Street Fighter.

Week #10 Game-Street Fighter (series)

This can be played with 2 players, but always have more to keep a friendly and drunken rotation!
Rule #1- Every time someone uses their focused energy attack, they must take two drinks
Rule #2- Every time a player uses chooses Ken or Ryu, they must take two drinks
Rule #3- Play best of three, if you lose one game, take two drinks, if you lose two games, take the loser shot
Rule #4- Rotate out the loser of each round!

Week #10 Concoction- Hadouken

This takes a 20 oz bottle of Mt. Dew, add 4 oz of Hot Damn, pour it into a Collins glass with ice, mix thoroughly, and enjoy!

Week #10 Loser Shot- Ken vs. Ryu
1 oz of Hot Damn 100, 1 oz of Bailey’s Irish Cream. Put in the Irish Cream first, top it with the Hot Damn, and drink it fast, and hope you never lose.

Week #10 Beer- Goose Island Brewery ~ 312 Urban Wheat

A Chicago specialty, this beer can be seen predominately around the Midwest. This American Pale Ale has a wheat tasting to it. The carbonation gives it a slightly creamy body of medium base, and the aroma smells of lemon peels and wheat. Definitely a delicious beer for a nice day outside, and checking out the Wriglyville biergarten is one of the best places to check it out

That will do it for this week do it today. We want you to drink responsibly and always have a place to crash or a designated driver if you intend on drinking too much.
