Gonna Take You For A Time-Traveling Ride To Marvel VS. Capcom Origins
Posted on July 5, 2012 AT 09:03am
Marvel Comics may be looking to the future (or DC’s recent exploits, to be honest) with their Marvel NOW! initiative, launching new series, new titles, new concepts, characters, and outfits. In seems to be the opposite with Capcom, who have just announced Marvel VS. Capcom Origins, a digital download bundle for Xbox Live Arcade and the PS3′s PlayStation Network.
Combining Marvel Super Heroes and Marvel VS. Capcom, the digital title includes unlockable artwork, characters (such as Carnage-inspired Venom designs, one of many tweaked characters), and special modes not in the original title. No word on if Anita, a console-exclusive (at least, finished for the console version) character in Marvel Super Heroes will be included.
Sadly, this bundle seems to exclude three of the other notable entries that led to Marvel VS. Capcom, X-Men: Children of the Atom, X-Men VS. Street Fighter and Marvel Super Heroes VS. Street Fighter.
Marvel Super Heroes is fitting, as it features Thanos and the Infinity Gems, something that movie-goers might have seen in the recent Marvel movies.
Capcom will release the bundle in September for $14.99/1200 MS Points.
