The upcoming virtual reality device Oculus Rift has already been gaining a lot of ground with its Kickstarter campaign, as well as the announcement that Doom 3 BFG will be one of the first available titles. This impressive piece of technology may be the next step in gaming, and now, other developers are stepping onto the bandwagon to support the hardware.

The makers of the upcoming game Hawken, which was developed by Adhesive Games and published by Meteor Entertainment, has announced that they will be supporting Oculus Rift. The first-person mech-based shooter is a highly anticipated title, and the news that it will now be on Oculus Rift makes it all the more exciting.

The free-to-play PC title is releasing on 12/12/12, and will attempt to show off both the Oculus SDK and Unreal Engine. For more information on the Oculus Rift, check out their Kickstarter page.

Russ Pirozek, known as "Noobcrawler" to some, is a gamer and comic book fan who sometimes gets around to writing for DigitalNoob.com. He's also awesome. If someone looked up "awesome" in the dictionary, his picture wouldn't be there, but that's because he's too busy being awesome to pose for a photo.
