TopWare Interactive announced at E3 in Los Angeles that “Sacrilegium” will be the next title from the company owned developer – Reality Pump Studios. Each team will be looking to revive and renew the survival horror genre in terms of story and atmosphere, as well as in the gameplay and level design, as they look to set the new standards. Beauty begets monstrosity but not in the way most would think. Usually beauty is the key to unlocking all doors in which the user can step through. 20 year old female Alex from the ”Sacrilegium” game sees beauty a a normalcy and has no want to use it to get ahead. Her goal is to keep in shape through training and martial arts, which will prove valuable in her fight against the monsters of Sacrilegium.
Its rich and nuanced plot follows the young woman Alex across the world, from the misty shores of San Francisco to the fearsome and foreboding corners of the Old Continent. There, Alex learns that assumptions can be lethally deceptive and that the seemingly safe modern world is but half of a chamber divided by a dark curtain… that beyond that opaque veil lies the embodiment of nightmares spawned into flesh.
Visual style has become an integral part of the Sacrilegium games thus propelling it into the modern world. Visuals will be all about showing off a new direction form the once medieval oriented Reality Pump Studios. Check out the dreary aspect of the pictures over on the Sacrilegium website. Looking through the pictures you can get a feel for the darkness that will be hanging over your main characters head. Using your skills, instincts and knowledge and devotion you need not only safe yourself but your friends as well. If not in time you are sure to face a fate that will make death feel like a playground.
