Some news came in from two of the more popular comic book companies today, and some of it is more of the same good news, especially for Image Comics. Three more sellouts were announced today for three of their titles, making this a very common theme for what looks to be a good year for the creator-owned publisher.

Two new titles: Blackacre, the Duffy Boudreau and Wendell Cavalcanti sci-fi series, is already getting  rave reviews from industry elite, and I Love Trouble, the Kel Symon’s and Mark Robinson product,have sold out of their first issues. Also selling out is Great Pacific, the environmentally conscious story of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. All three titles are sold out at distributor level before their scheduled release date, and will get second printings that will release on January 9th.

IDW Publishing also announced some very special news for Transformers fans with the announcement of Transformers: The IDW Collection, Volume 1 Deluxe Limited Edition. This hardcover collection will feature six of the top artists and writers from the Transformers universe for special deluxe content. There is a multi-tiered rarity system for the release of the entire series of books, with the Red, Blue, and Black editions signed by the entire creative team. Black label purchases will also have limited edition artwork by one of three artists on the project: Alex Milne, Marcelo Matere or Casey Coller. E.J. Su will also contribute to ten special edition Blue label books. Quantities are limited and these books could go fast, so make sure to pre-order yours before their release in January of 2013.
