IDW Publishing and Hasbro have announced that they will be launching two new comic book series entitled Transformers : Fall Of Cybertron And Transformers Prime – Rage Of The Dinobots .

The series will these link the events of the Fall of Cyberton videogame with the ongoing story of Transformers Prime. The new series gives readers the chance to see the Dinobots in the Prime world for the first time.

Fall of Cybertron, the prequel to the upcoming game, will tell the origin story of the Dinobots as they battle Shockwave’s forces. The series will be written by Barber (Transformers: Robots in Disguise) and will feature the art of Dheeraj Varma (Escape of the Living Dead). It will be available on Comixology and other services platforms for six issues on a bi-weekly basis starting August.

Transformers Prime – Rage Of The Dinobots links the game and the Prime series. With Optimus Prime and the Ark gone, the Dinobots are forced to confront Shockwave. This mini-series, which launches in November, will by written by Mike Johnson (Star Trek) and Maighrhead Scott (Transformers: Prime). It will feature interior art by Agustin Padilla (Dungeons and Dragons) and covers by Ken Christiansen.
