Starting today, IDW Publishing is embarking on an exciting new foray into digital comics. Teaming up with Apple, the company will be publishing not only their graphic novels in the iBookstore,  but the latest and greatest of their ongoing titles on a weekly basis. This will be launched the same way that the digital titles on their Comic App and in traditional print.

Making the entire IDW line available to iBookstore readers, the company is allowing for major growth in the rapidly-expanding digital comics medium. Lines such as Star Trek/Doctor Who: Assimilation, Star Trek: Countdown to Darkness, and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic have been launched through the iBookstore to great popularity, making it a home run to expand their work with Apple.
