IDW To Release “Tarzan Of The Apes” Artist’s Edition
Posted on May 20, 2012 AT 05:32pm
The legend of Tarzan is now 100 years old, believe it or not, with the original Edgar Rice Burroughs tale debuting in 1912. Joe Kubert, the iconic artist who brought the story to life with Tarzan Of The Apes, is now getting honored with his own Artist’s Edition of the series from IDW Publishing.
This large volume contains many of Kubert’s classics, with six complete stories included (this also features the four-part origin story). While originally drawn in black and white, this, like others in the Artist’s Edition series, has been scanned in color, allowing fans to see the blue inks, notes and corrections done by the artist.
The Joe Kubert’s Tarzan Of The Apes: Artist’s Edition will be available in hardcover format for $100, starting in September 2012.
