Image And Hero Initiative Team Up For “100 Project”
Posted on September 16, 2012 AT 05:24pm
Image Comics, Skybound, and the wonderful charity The Hero Initiative have teamed up to work on a very special project that will help give financial aid to those in he industry’s past that really need it. So far, the charity has worked with Marvel Comics, DC Comics and Archie Comics to get one hundred artists to contribute to a special anniversary issue of a comic. These one hundred artists will all contribute a cover to the issue, with the best selling comic of the century, The Walking Dead #100, being the subject.
Many well-known artists will contribute, including series illustrator Charlie Adlard, as well as many veterans of the industry such as Dan Brereton, Ian Churchill, Kevin Eastman, Joe Jusko, Dale Keown, Whilce Portacio and even Robert Kirkman himself.
A special viewing of this art collection will be available in the winter of 2012-2013, as well as a collectible art book for the project available in 2013.
The event will help comic creators in medical or financial need get the support they deserve, so go out and support this great cause as soon as its available.
