Image Comics: New Teaser Image From Shadowline, Thought Bubble Convention News
Posted on November 12, 2012 AT 09:35pm
Image Comics is going to be pretty busy in the near future, releasing their consistently amazing titles as well as making appearances all over the globe. In addition to the signings Image personnel conduct in shops all over the country, they also appear at conventions whenever possible. This time several members of the Image Comics team will be appearing at the Thought Bubble Convention in Leeds, England. The convention, which is a part of the Leeds Comic Book Festival, will be held in England on November 17th and 18th, and will feature some major names from some of the top titles in the Image catalog. According to promotion of the festival, eighteen creators will be a part of the convention and include:
Charlie Adlard (artist – THE WALKING DEAD, ROCK BOTTOM)
Jordie Bellaire (colorist – THE MANHATTAN PROJECTS, NOWHERE MEN, MARA)
Ian Churchill (covers – NO PLACE LIKE HOME)
Boo Cook (artist – ELEPHANTMEN)
Andy Diggle (writer – SNAPSHOT)
David Hine & Doug Braithwaite (STORM DOGS)
Kieron Gillen & Jamie McKelvie (PHONOGRAM)
Giannis Milonogiannis (PROPHET)
Phil Noto (artist – THE INFINITE HORIZON, CREATOR-OWNED HEROES)
Sean Phillips (artist – FATALE)
Emma Rios (artist – PRETTY DEADLY),
Nick Spencer (writer – BEDLAM, MORNING GLORIES, THIEF OF THIEVES)
Fiona Staples (artist – SAGA)
Eric Stephenson (writer/creator – NOWHERE MEN, Image Comics Publisher)
Angelo Tirotto and Richard Jordan (NO PLACE LIKE HOME)
There will also be signings from several of these notable creators, as well as the opportunity to have Image Comics Publisher Eric Stephenson review presented portfolios at scheduled times during the event.
Image also sent out a brand new teaser image for a new Shadowline title coming in 2013 called Five Weapons. While teaser images likes this are always fun, they never really reveal too much about the book, though this new Jimmie Robinson product looks like a lot of fun, especially with the tagline from Darryl The Arrow, “I am smarter than you”. More fun from Image Comics, taking their tour of the comic book world around the world!
