Once a serial for the series Hack/Slash, the Tim Seely/Michael Moreci title Hoax Hunters will now have it’s own ongoing series. Written by Seely and Moreci, with art by Axel Medellin, the series focuses on, of all things, a reality television hoax show.

In Hoax Hunters, a team of investigators travel across the globe searching for myths, proving to the world that the happenings are just fantasy. Aliens, monsters, and anything that is rumored to exist is shown to be nothing but hot air. Except for the fact that they are very, very real. The show itself is the real myth, as the crew of the show must cover up what they’ve discovered, presenting each completely unthinkable event as farce.

A collection of the serials of the series that appeared in Hack/Slash was released in the form of Hoax Hunters #0, and has now been given an ongoing series. To be released July 5th, this series looks to be an interesting look at the events of legend, proving there is more than meets the eye.
