Image/Shadowline’s Dear Dracula Gets An Animated Series
Posted on October 3, 2012 AT 07:14pm
The Image Comics imprint Shadowline got some good news today, when they were able to announce that their series, Dear Dracula, a graphic novel focused towards children, has been green-lit to become an animated series.
The series focuses on Sam, a youngster that loves horror and vampires so much that instead of writing to Santa for Christmas, he writes to Dracula. When the creature himself shows up on Sam’s doorstep, Sam is in for an unexpected adventure. The series, which is written by Joshua Williamson and drawn by Vicente “Vinny” Navarrete, will get a star-studded cast for the animated series, including Ray Liotta, Emilio Estevez and Marion Ross.
The hour-long feature will air on Cartoon Network on October 16th at 7 p.m. EST as part of their “Spooky Specials” Halloween lineup.
