DC Comics and NetherRealm Studios are teaming up again for another fighting title. After the disappointing Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe, the duo are taking another swing at the fighting genre with the announcement of Injustice: Gods Among Us, releasing an announcement trailer for the game, through GameSpot.

This time focusing on just the line of DC characters, the game boasts an curious tagline: “What if our greatest heroes became our greatest threat?” This choice of words is interesting, as it may suggest that the DC Comics Heroes we’ve all come to know and love as beacons of justice are now skewing the lines of their own moral codes. Featuring characters such as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Harley Quinn and Solomon Grundy, this game has the star power to be one of the better fighting games to come out in recent memory.

Whether hero or villain, these powerful figures look primed and ready to beat the hell out of each other, and the game itself looks gorgeous. Scheduled for a 2013 release on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii U, fans of comic books and fighting games can once again unite under the common purpose of an all out brawl.
