“Jet Set Radio” For Vita On Tape Delay
Posted on October 16, 2012 AT 11:32am

A “tape delay”, when it comes to television or radio, is when what’s aired is actually a few seconds to minutes behind of what’s actually happening. It’s been done regularly in TV that’s advertised as live, such as Saturday Night Live, in case something goes horribly wrong, language slips, or in the case of the Super Bowl, accidental nudity.
For the radio, it can be in case a live segment goes wrong, same as television.
For JSR, it can be in case of “optimization”.
SAN FRANCISCO & LONDON – October 16, 2012 - SEGA®of America Inc. and SEGA®Europe Ltd. today announced that the PlayStation® Vita system release date for Jet Set Radio has unfortunately been delayed due to necessary development optimizations. A final release date will be announced soon – please be sure to check www.sega.com for updates on this issue.
Thankfully, the game doesn’t seem to be outright canned, but doesn’t seem to take advantage of Cross Play, which would be great. The HD re-release is available on Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox Live Arcade though.
