Need your John Barrowman fix with no Torchwood on the air? Fear no longer, Team Barrowman! John is joining CW’s new comic-book drama, Arrow. He has signed for a recurring role during the show’s debut season.

Producers of the show say that Barrowman will be playing a “well-dressed man” who is “as mysterious as he is wealthy”. They have also revealed that “he is an acquaintance of the Queen family and a prominent figure in Starling City.” Some are suspecting, due to this information, that he could be playing philanthropist, Stanley Dover Sr.

What does this say about Torchwood? Is it the final nail in the coffin? We’ll just have to wait in see. In any case, make sure to check out Arrow. It premieres October 10th on the CW.
