Kojima: “We have not yet finished with Solid Snake”

Hideo Kojima, director of Kojima Productions, has told French game magazine IG that Solid Snake will be returning in the next Metal Gear Solid title.

ComputerandVideoGames.com reported the following quotes from Kojima:

“About Metal Gear Solid 5, I can tell you two things. There will be much question of infiltration, espionage, and convincing people to give you ‘a favour’ like in the last Metal Gear Solid.

“I liked the idea of social interactions in Deus Ex: Human Revolution, but we will see. And if I say more, the female ninja public relations officer, who is behind the door, I will be carved up into pieces. So it’s better that we meet again when the time comes to talk about Metal Gear Solid 5.”

Konami declined to comment when CVG reached out to them regarding the legitimacy of the comments. However, the magazine that held the interview, IG, verified to the UK based website that the quotes from Kojima are real and not rumors as some originally assumed. Kojima went on to mention that Metal Gear Solid 5 will utilize the new FOX Engine, and is quoted as having said: “We have not yet finished with Solid Snake”.
