Lucius is a Devil Child, Literally
Posted on September 27, 2012 AT 12:43pm
As I’ve mentioned previously, I have a tendency to be drawn to games with unusual premises. Lucius definitely fits this bill.
In Lucius, you play as the titular character, who has just turned six. On this day, his real father–who kinda happens to be Lucifer, the devil himself–has decided to bestow upon him a number of gifts and a mission. The child’s task? To reap the souls of those living with him, be they servant, relative, visitor, or otherwise. Lucius must accept this mission, because his soul was promised to Lucifer long ago.
Any normal game would likely pit you against the machinations of such an evil plot, but in Lucius, it is not so. You, instead, get to play as the little devil spawn and find creative and horrible ways to unleash these people from the mortal coil. You can set traps for them to stumble upon, or use psychokinetic abilities to bring the pain to them a little more directly.
Witness some chaos in the form of screenshots and a trailer:
Lucius, created by Shiver Games and published by Lace Mamba Global, will be released on October 26th, just in time for Halloween!
