Map Making Can Make You Money in Red Orchestra 2
Posted on June 14, 2012 AT 07:34pm
Now that the game of the year edition of Red Orchestra 2 is released, the people of Tripwire Interactive are giving back to the community. They just announced the “Counterattack” Mapping Contest. This should be exciting news because it comes with over $35,000 worth of cash and prizes. The contest begins today and will be evaluated at two separate times, August and October. The $30,000 in cash prizes will be split over this time to the best original new map for Red Orchestra 2 and the best remake of a map from the original, Red Orchestra.
The cash prizes for the best maps are not the only things up for grabs. Tripwire will also be giving away other great prizes:
- Custom-painted EON-17S laptop from Origin PC
- Graphics cards from NVIDIA
- CPU & Motherboard from Intel
- And a whole pile of great Logitech peripherals
All the details for the contest, including rules, can be found on the contest webpage. They are still finalizing the details, but more information should be up soon. The maps do not need to be submitted until August, but you can still start working on them now. So, go out there and win some prizes.
