Max Payne 3 is arguably the best game to release in 2012 thus far, and Rockstar Games has announced some details on the upcoming Disorganized Crime Pack, as well as some of the other DLC packs that they’re working on for the game. While there were originally five packs on the way, some adjustments have been made, combining the five packs into three that will be released after Disorganized Crime.
The Disorganized Crime Pack, which is coming in August, will be free (yes, free!) and will give players the chance to wage war above the streets around Max’s old apartment in the new Hoboken Rooftops multiplayer map. Also added to the DLC are new modifiers for Score Attack mode, such as Explosive Rounds, where bullets detonate and explode on impact and Lone Wolf Al, which makes enemies more aggressive. Along with those, there will be a Headshots Only modifier that will make getting that next kill a bit more challenging, but far more rewarding.
The New York Minute co-op pack and the Trickle Down Economics Map Pack have been spread out through the remaining DLC content, with a new pack coming out each month after Disorganized Crime, with two coming in October. The packs will start off in September with the Hostage Negotiation Map Pack, and will continue into October with the Painful Memories Map Pack and the Deathmatch Made In Heaven Mode Pack, which will feature the co-op content from the New York Minute pack. All of the content will be available individually for 800 Microsoft Points (Xbox LIVE) or $9.99 (PlayStation Network and PC).
And remember, those using the Rockstar Pass can save some money on the content, saving 35% over just getting the packs individually. The Pass is available for 2400 MS Points on Xbox LIVE or for $29.99 on PlayStation Network and PC.
