For all the Playstation Vita owners out there who haven’t been feeling any love, Konami has a treat for you. Now available for your sneaking pleasure, the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection is set to bring a few smiles to your faces. Containing updated versions of MGS2: Sons of Liberty and MGS3: Snake Eater, the collection is sure to be a must buy for fans of Hideo Kojima’s classic. Remastered graphics and optimized controls for the Vita’s touch screen are also included to ensure that this is a return of a classic fans will enjoy.

“With the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, gamers will be impressed with the updated graphics and the ability to zoom and perform attacks by using just their fingers on the touch screen of the PlayStation®Vita system,” said Tomoyuki Tsuboi, President of Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. It’s an exciting new way to experience the games Metal Gear Solid fans have known and loved for years.”

As an added bonus, both the Vita and PS3 version include Transferring, an ability where players can start the action right where they left off as they transfer saved-data back and forth from their PlayStation 3 version of Metal Gear Solid HD Collection to their Vita. Why you would own both is a question that needs to be asked, but points to Konami for the attempt.

The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection is now available nationwide for $39.99 on the PlayStation 3 and the Vita. The collection is also available for download digitally at the Playstation store.
