Today Ubisoft annouced the long-anticipated expanision set for Might & Magic Heroes VI, Shades of Darkness will be released worldwide for the PC on February 28, 2013. The set stars cult hero, Raelag, who was first introduced in Heroes V, and follows the campaigns of The Dark Elves and the Necromancers, during The Dark Events.
Set a century after Heroes VI, it features Raelag, heir to the Dark Elf Throne in his quest to unite his war-torn people as a proud nation once more. Allying with the powers of Darkness, they will show the world who the masters of stealth and deception really are.
The Necromancers on the other hand are facing a crisis that could threaten their very existence. Their vampire hero, the rouge Death Knight, Vein, must discover the source of the mysterious disease that threatens his people. After discovering it has something to do with the Dark Elves, he must restore the corrupted memories of the former goddess, Mother Namtaru, making her a goddess once more and save his people.
Also, for the first time, a new portal is available, which explains the entire history of the Heroes universe, with in-depth character biographies, the universe’s mythology, and the entire history of Heroes’s world. The portal also features new artwork and is excellent for newcomers and old fans alike. It has even been localized in English, French, German, Russian and Polish.
