Ironically enough, I think MG4 was one of the few games NOT guilty of this annoying crime

I’m not going to rant for long about this but I just had to take a moment an harp on a popular trend in recent gaming. I’m not even sure if I’d call it a trend so much as just “We didn’t think about it”. Either way, it’s annoying and I hope it stops soon.

I BEG of you developers, please STOP putting the skip prompt in the corner of the screen of cutscenes unless I push a button. If I move my sticks or press a button, then I’m perfectly okay with the skip prompt appearing and then fading away a few moments later. But keeping the prompt on the screen by default is distracting and annoying. I could go into more detail about how it detracts from my ability to be immersed into the game, but I decided to make a few pictures to better prove my point.
