Multiverse Studio Announces SDCC 2012 Toy Line-Up
Posted on July 3, 2012 AT 07:38pm
If you’re like me, you love collectible toys and figurines. If the mere mention of SDCC toys makes your ears perk up, you’ll love this.
Multiverse Studio has announced a handful of additions to their Bobble Budds series of bobble head figurines. To commemorate the 25th anniversary of Street Fighter, they’ve given the nod to a total of four characters: Chun-Li, Ryu, Sagat, and Blanka. All of them are in their ‘Player 1′ colour schemes. They’ll have 1,000 limited edition ‘Player 2 Variant’ colour Blanka bobbles as a special SDCC release.
There’s also four Mega Man bobbles coming as well: Megaman, Protoman, Elecman, and Gutsman. The full series won’t be available at SDCC, but they will be offering the Protoman figure as an ‘inaugural early bird special’. All of the bobbles are available for $11.99 and stand 3.5″ tall. For those who don’t like hundreds of heads nodding at all hours [unless you work for the government, in which case it's inevitable], the Bobble Buds have an exclusive locking mechanism to keep their heads still.
On the less cute end of things, they’ve also be bringing Darksiders‘ demon prince Samael to life as an LED-enhanced 12-inch resin statue… and if you don’t mind me saying, it looks pretty badass. It’s created by SOTA Toys, and will be exclusively available at the Multiverse booth for the not-too-bad-for-an-SDCC-collectible price of $249.
If you’re at Comic Con, you’ll find Multiverse Studio at booth #2846 in the main hall.
