IDW Publishing has announced an exciting new tie-in for the hit movie Iron Sky, which will also be made into a video game by Topware Interactive. The film focuses on the Nazi forces, who after their defeat in World War II, fled to the Moon to regain their footing. The graphic novel will be a prequel to the film, shedding light on how the evil forces got to the Moon in the first place, and how their evil leader, Wolfgang Kortzfleisch, rose in the ranks and became Der Überführer.

There is an all-star cast of artists working on the book, with Gerry Kissell and Amin Amat heading up the artwork. Both, along with the writer of the series, Mikko Rautalahti, recently worked on the comic book tie-in to the thriller video game, Alan Wake. The title will also contain quite a bit of pin-up work by Miguel Angel Abad and Darren Douglas, with a multitude of comic book art, production art, and extra material writer by Iron Sky director Timo Vuorensola gracing the 104-page graphic novel.

The tie-in will be released in March of 2013.
