After the success of using three athletes on the covers of NBA 2K12, 2K sports has returned to the formula with the announcement of the three new NBA superstars that will be gracing the covers of NBA 2K13.

Chicago Bulls point guard and 2011 NBA MVP Derrick Rose, Los Angeles Clippers high-flying forward Blake Griffin, and the three time scoring champion, Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant have all been selected to be a part of the cover campaign for the newest installment of the game. The trio is set to succeed the Hall Of Fame cover stars of last years game, which featured Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, and Michael Jordan.

The members of this “New Dynasty”, as Griffin put it, are all Rookie Of The Year award winners, and power players at their respective positions. They will also be in high demand in their virtual forms when the game releases for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 2nd in the U.S., with an international version coming  October 5th, with a Wii U version hitting during the holidays. There will also be a pre-order bonus, with the downloadable NBA All-Star content package, sponsored by Sprite (even DLC has sponsors in the NBA) available day of release.
