If you’re itching to explore the Far Cry 3 universe but don’t want to wait until the end of November, then fire up your PC version of Minecraft (sorry Xbox users) and head to the Far Cry official website on October 26. Ubisoft announced that a map and texture pack inspired by the Far Cry universe will be available to download for free. Many of the characters will be there in blocky Minecraft form (including Vaas, Jason, and Citra), and key locations on the island will be available to explore. The map was created by Michael Lambert (a well known Minecraft enthusiast), and the textures were done by artists Axel Janssen and Yohann Delcourt.
Although you can’t download this map just yet, you can amuse yourself by looking at some of these Far Cry 3 screenshots. Looks like Vaas has been busy in his new Minecraft world.
