We know the whole “games as art” thing is a bit overdone, but no one tries to recapture the glory days of avante-gore cinema or cerebral thrillers — or if they do they fall severely short of the marks due to trying not to be offensive. This new trailer should show you where Hotline Miami will fall when it comes to the “offensive” line. I swear, it feels like you are watching a Takashi Miike film from before he started going way off of the deep end.
