Cheap fashion and video games. What could possibly go wrong?

This Black Friday, November 23, 2012, Old Navy and Nintendo will be offering a one-time promotion for Nintendo’s first HD console, the Wii U, at participating Old Navy stores. Aptly named  “Cheermagedden”, all who buy at least $40 in Old Navy merchandise will be entered for a chance to win a free copy of New Super Mario Bros. U ($59.99 retail). Throughout Black Friday, shoppers will also be given a card, entering them in another sweepstakes for a chance to win the system itself ($299 retail). Canadians will receive the same promotion the next day, on the 24th.

From the 22nd-24th, a third of the Old Navy stores will also feature Wii U demo stations where Old Navy customers will be able to experience innovative system first-hand. These store will also feature photo kiosks complete with Mario-themed backdrops for more family fun. In addition, the flagship stores in San Fransisco (801 Market St., San Francisco, CA) and New York City (150 W. 34th St., New York, NY) will both offer additional New Super Mario Bros. U demo kiosks and more photo opportunities with Nintendo costumed characters. Together, Nintendo and Old Navy hope to bring joy and entertainment to the value-minded holiday shoppers as they seek the best in fashion and video games.
