Nintendo Announces New Super Smash Bros. Game With Namco Bandai
Posted on June 21, 2012 AT 09:34pm
In a rather surprising announcement, Nintendo revealed today that Namco Bandai will be assisting in the development for the newest Super Smash Bros. title, which has been announced for the Wii U and 3DS.
Masahiro Sakurai, creator of the series, will still be heading the project, along with Namco Bandai and Sora, developer of Kid Icarus. Nintendo also announced that Yoshito Higuchi, the producer for Tales Of Vespia will be the director of the game and Kenya Kobayashi from Namco Bandai will be producing it.
Details are still unclear as of right now, but with this announcement, the Super Smash Bros. series could be in jeopardy. Nintendo and Sakurai’s HAL Laboratory have always done a great job with this game, and adding in Namco Bandai will be interesting.
