Nintendo Characters Spawn In “Scribblenauts Unlimited”
Posted on October 17, 2012 AT 11:58am

Maxwell, star of the Scribblenauts franchise, looks to be meeting some stars of other franchises. A launch title for the Wii U, Maxwell seems to be embracing his starring role at the new Nintendo console’s launch.
Characters and items from the Mushroom Kingdom and the land of Hyrule can be summoned exclusively in the Wii U iteration of Scribblenauts Unlimited, Joystiq reports. Characters shown include Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, Link, Zelda, Epona, and a Goron. It’s not a stretch to assume that Super Mushrooms and the Triforce would be amongst the items in the game.
It’s a rare move for Nintendo to let their characters show up in a game that’s not produced by them or by a second party. Still, Link was in Soul Calibur II, and Samus Aran was planned for Marvel: Ultimate Alliance.
