Nintendo to Make 2013 an Excellent Year

After the holiday rush, Nintendo now has hundreds more Wii U and 3DS owners, and so to ensure they keep their loyal fans and customers, Nintendo has promised to make 2013 one of its best yet by releasing new titles from old series and new alike.
“During the holidays we saw new players respond positively to new game-play experiences using the Wii U GamePad controller and the true 3D of Nintendo 3DS,” said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “With such a diverse lineup of games on the horizon, people will experience a variety of ways to play, whether they’re using the GamePad to scan for criminals or seeing ghosts in 3D on the Nintendo 3DS screen.”
The Wii U launched last year on November 18th and enjoyed a very high sales week for its launch. The system continues to move forward with the release of a plethora of new games in Spring 2013 including the exclusive LEGO City: Undercover which comes this March. Also coming in March is Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate which boasts over 200 new challenging quests.
Additionally, Game & Wario, Pikmen 3, The Wonderful 101 and Wii Fit U are all scheduled for releases within the first half o the year.
Nintendo has also announced a Wii U GamePad Accessory Set, which includes screen protectors, a longer stylus and cleaning cloths, and will be available February 4th, currently set at $12.99 MSRP.
The 3DS will maintain its momentum in the new year, starting with the release of Fire Emblem Awakening on February 4th. Coinciding with the game’s release, Nintendo will also release a 3DS bundle pack that includes a blue 3DS with the game per-installed. The hardware will also feature Awakening artwork and come with a 4GB SD card. It will be available for $199.99 MSRP.
Brain Age: Concentration comes on February 10th bring even more challenges to the critically-acclaimed series. A demo version will be available on the eShop starting on January 24th. On March 24th, the highly anticipated sequel to the GameCube’s Luigi’s Mansion, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon will come out of hiding. Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity will also be available March 24th. Additionally, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate, sequel to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, will be available on March 5th on the 3DS.
And then in April and second LEGO Undercover game, LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins comes to the 3DS, a prequel to the Wii U game.
