Early this morning, inXile founder Brian Fargo tweeted that video game streaming service OnLive was closing its doors, according to an email sent to him by an OnLive employee working with Brian. This email ignited a blaze of tweets, confusion, and speculation about the future of OnLive.
A company spokesperson talked to Gamasutra, and stated:
We can’t comment on rumors, but OnLive is just fine,
Martyn Williams from IDG News Service, that covers local tech and Silicon Valley happenings, tweeted that employees have been laid off and are with moving boxes, leaving the OnLive premises. This begs the question – will OnLive as a service be continuing on, even though the employees are being let go?
