Xbox Live’s Major Nelson dropped a major bombshell this evening on his blog with the announcement of over 40 new apps that will be coming to Xbox Live across the globe over the next few months.  Staring tomorrow a handful of these apps will become available in select markets.  In the US, notable apps include CNET, Maxim, a Karaoke app, and Microsoft’s Skydrive which allows users to save and share videos and photos to Microsoft’s Skydrive Cloud service.
