P.O.S. Cancels Tour Due to Health Complications
Posted on October 25, 2012 AT 04:12pm
Minnesota’s resident Punk Rocker/Rapper, P.O.S., who just released his latest album “We Don’t Even Live Here”, has been forced to cancel his tour to promote that album. The reason for the cancellation is that he needs a new kidney and is unable to get dialysis on the road.
According to a statement from Doomtree:
P.O.S has to cancel his entire fall tour (with the exception of the First Avenue show on 10/26) and has to postpone future tour plans due to his need to have a kidney transplant. Please watch the following video statement from Stef explaining his medical situation.
All tour ticket refunds will be available at the point of purchase.
Our dude is gonna get a kidney, and get better. We’ll let you know how you can help soon. How you can help: http://bit.ly/stefneedsakidney
The good news: Stef has found several strong candidates for kidney donation. The less-than-totally-good news: this stuff gets pretty damn expensive. Transplants create life-long prescription costs. And, as you’d imagine, rappers don’t have robust benefit packages. So, we’ve started this portal to allow people to donate to Stef’s recovery. The funds will be used to help pay medical bills, prescription costs, and to cover living expenses while Stef is off the road, getting better. Many of you reading this have already donated—thank you. It’s meant the world to Stef, his family, his crew, and the rest of us rooting for him.

On behalf of myself and the crew at DigitalNoob, we wish Stef the best and hope he can recover soon.
