Painkiller: Hell & Damnation Aims to Make Your Halloween Hellish
Posted on October 9, 2012 AT 07:53pm
Nordic Games has finally announced release dates and more for the upcoming Painkiller: Hell & Damnation. It looks like the uncut PC version will be hitting the shelves on Halloween in both regular and collector’s edition flavours, priced $19.99 and $29.99, respectively. The collector’s edition will only be coming to the PC [sorry, console folks]. The Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 will each be $29.99, and are going to be late to the party. They, and a ‘toned-down Windows version’ will be released on January 22nd, 2013.
So, what’s in the box?
The Collector’s Edition will include stickers; postcards from hell; an art book with behind-the-scenes look at the art of Painkiller; ten tracks from the heavy metal soundtrack; a making-of DVD; an in-game tarot card for a single-player power-up; and an exclusive multiplayer skin. The appealing package will also comprise all of the material from the Standard Edition including the game disc, manual and artwork poster.
If you’re more of a visual person, we’ve even got boxart and a mockup of the CE package, as well as some freshly slicked with blood screenshots [because we love you, and also because we love carnage]:
If you’ve forgotten your calendar dates, Painkiller: Hell & Damnation [Uncut Edition] for PC will be out on October 31st! And again, console players will have to wait until January 22nd, 2013 to get their demon slaying fix. Honestly, unless you REALLY want those trophies and/or gamerscore, I say go for the PC Collector’s Edition. Same price, you get to play it sooner, and you get scads of awesome swag. Sounds like a win all around, to me!
