If you are lucky enough to be attending the PAX Prime convention this weekend, you are in for a treat. You will get to try out “Escape Mode”, the new multiplayer game mode that was just announced by Sega and Gearbox.

The Aliens: Colonial Marines games takes place just after the events in the Aliens movie. “Escape” pits two teams of four players against each other. One team will be Colonial Marines and the other the deadly Xenomorphs. Players will have to work as a team to eliminate the enemy, stay alive, and make their way to the escape point.

So head on over to booths 242 and 252, Sega’s PAX booths, and get a hands-on. Or if you are feeling very lucky, wander over to Alienware’s booth (3636) and compete in some Team Deathmatch against the Gearbox Software team. You might win an Aliens: Colonial Marines prize pack.

Aliens: Colonial Marines is slated for release on February12, 2012.
