Have you ever played a 2D anime-style fighting game where the characters all know they are inside a TV world and want nothing more than to get out? Me neither, but Persona 4 Arena seeks to change that.

In it, you will get to control some of the famous characters from Atlus’ hit series Persona, more specifically 3 and 4. Now, I’m not just reminding you that this awesome title is coming out for the hell of it with no new info. A brand new batch of screens have just been released that focus on the game’s core Arcade mode. You know, the part a lot of us are excited for. Anyways, the screens are below and quite frankly they look awesome.

Persona 4 Arena comes out on August 7th for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 systems.  There’ll be a pre-order bonus “Arranged Soundtrack” CD at select retailers while supplies last, although there’s a lot more info about that offer yet to come. And for the love of god Atlus, no more TV show puns please.
