Planet Crashers Crash Landing on Nintendo’s eShop on July 26th
Posted on July 23, 2012 AT 10:24am

I fully understand the level of irony, maybe even tragic irony, in asking this after this weekend, but; why so serious? As gamers, we tend to fall into an odd paradigm where the expectations upon the games we play are incredibly heavy, if not overwhelming. Picking up a new game will undoubtedly mean taking the role of a hero and saving everything amidst a wash of uber serious characters and scenarios. I think that it is fair to say that sometimes even the most hardened of gamer needs a bit of a breather to just enjoy things while still saving the universe.
Planet Crashers for the 3DS could be that very vacation from the serious world that you need this summer, and luckily enough for you, it comes out on July 26th on the Nintendo eShop for just $9.99.
Planet Crashers follows the tale of a young space cadet from the esteemed Planet Crashers Academy. An unknown evil has emerged from one of the darkest corners of the galaxy and the young space cadet’s first mission is to save the galaxy in this colorful, fun RPG. It relies on the age-old standards of turn-based fight mechanics, dungeons and leveling up, but also allows for character customization to help immerse the player in the universe.
Go ahead and allow yourself to have some fun this summer.
